Chris Murphy is a New York-licensed attorney and the Global Sanctions Manager at Airwallex. As the global escalation point for sanctions and export-control risk, Chris directs investigations and EDD, drives policy governance, manages external inquiries, and works with product teams to implement compliance controls. Previously, he led the First Line Sanctions Risk Team at Silicon Valley Bank, which included expanding the function across First Citizens Bank. Chris began his career at Société Générale, working on the Sanctions Advisory team in the US. Chris holds a J.D. from New York Law School and a B.A. from the University at Albany.
