I have always been passionate about building a safer, more sustainable and responsible maritime industry which better serves global prosperity without harm to people or the planet.

My journey continues through Lookout Maritime, a company I founded in April 2021 to support this purpose. We partner with leading experts and respected organisations to support both the strategy and solution development as well as the implementation of sustainability related initiatives.

I have built a clear picture from the ground up of the technical, regulatory, political, digital and commercial opportunities to address these challenges in maritime transportation, gathered over more than 25 years in a variety of roles.

Through this experience and the wider perspective this provides I am able to integrate, connect and align proposed solutions. This "joined up" and collaborative approach, mitigates risks and results in a smoother execution phase, a better business outcome and a greater positive impact.

My specialised skills and experience include – sustainability including, safety improvement, social initiatives, and practical emission reduction alternatives for shipping. Digital transformation incorporating applied analytics, software and data is a key enablers on this journey.

As CEO of RightShip I executed several innovation and transformation projects successfully in an agile way. This requires a particular focus on building the necessary respect and a common culture required to ensure honest and effective communication between experienced industry experts and innovation teams.

To recharge I enjoy a range of outdoor activities including windsurfing, surfing, kayaking, cycling and hiking with family and friends.
