Rachel Bernstein, CMPOperations Manager, Speaker Bureau at BCD Meetings & EventsSpeaker
Profile
My role falls within the BCD Meetings & Events Life Sciences Center of Excellence. My core responsibilities include managing the day-to-day operations of a team of Project Managers and Project Coordinators and providing operational excellence to our current Speaker Bureau accounts. I act as an advisor to staff, service providers and clients in all circumstances to make informed suggestions and ultimately increase our customer’s return on investment. Developing and communicating best practices and identifying industry trends are also a large part of my role here at BCD Meetings & Events. As a leader of the department, I aim to exceed customer expectations and maintain strong relationships along the way.
Experience and background: Prior to joining BCD Meetings & Events, I have held various positions within the meeting & events industry. Most recently, I was a Business Development Events Manager for a large legal & lobbying firm in Florida, overseeing all their client facing events, including Speaker Series, across 15 different offices. I’ve also held a position at the state economic development commission, Enterprise Florida, as a Marketing Events Manager where I was responsible for developing and presenting event strategies to provide new business development opportunities with CEOs, site location consultants and industry leaders. Finally, my career began at Visit Orlando, the convention and visitor’s bureau, where I started as an Events Intern and ultimately ended up a Trade Shows & Events Planner. Through my diverse experience, I’ve been able to apply my strong meeting planning background to my current role at BCD Meetings & Events and quickly become a part of the Speaker Bureau World.
