Michael started his career as a salesman for farm supplies in Germany. Then he joined the biotech industry and found his way into biofuels and alcohol. He held various senior leadership positions and has worked as industry advisor across Europe, the Middle East, Africa and North America. Looking back at 25 years of international experience in the agribusiness Michael shares his insights and expertise with senior leaders in the industry around the globe. Last year he deliberately left the animal feed and livestock industry to continue working on plant based food systems.

Michael holds an MSc in agriculture from the University of Kiel, Germany and a postgraduate Diploma in brewing and distilling from Heriot-Watt, Edinburgh, Scotland. He is also a pro-level drummer in various bands and now proudly has become a grandfather.
