Naoko is a Partner at Dalberg Advisors based in Kenya. She serves corporates, start-ups, multi-lateral organizations, governments and foundations in various sectors including agriculture, energy, global health, financial services, and gender empowerment. For inclusive industrialization, she has led a number of engagements to advise investment promotion agency and donor-funded organizations to identify priority sectors, assisted them for investment promotion strategy. Naoko also directed a number of market assessment, value chain analysis, and due diligence work in agriculture, energy, and other industrial sectors for Japanese and other multilateral investors. Beyond industrialization, Naoko leads many engagements in Dalberg’s Gender Practice, and has supported Sasakawa Peace Foundation, Grace Machel Trust, UN Women, Standard Chartered Bank, to name a few. Prior to Dalberg, Naoko worked for the International Finance Corporation, Arthur Andersen and Fuji Bank. Naoko holds an MA in Public Administration in International Development from Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government and is a US Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). She lives in Nairobi since 2010.
