Chuck Templeton is a Managing Partner and co-leads S2G. He is focused on value creation for portfolio companies by helping emerging entrepreneurs, executives, and companies scale their businesses. As an ex-operator — including founding OpenTable and serving as lead investor and operating Chairman in companies such as Grubhub and Venmo (Braintree Payment Systems) — he considers himself a student of leadership, entrepreneurship, and cultural development. He is focused on helping the S2G team, entrepreneurs, and executives take their ideas, validate them, institutionalize process, and ultimately scale their business innovations to address today's urgent environmental and societal problems; examples of portfolio support topics include leadership development, culture building, operations, and team building. Chuck was US Army Ranger qualified and a sniper before receiving a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Economics from California Polytechnic State University and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
