Profile
David Maresch has a deep understanding of the German private equity market with a strong focus on medium-sized companies. This is due to his previous engagements with leading international advisory firms, private equity firms and working with renowned and respected European entrepreneurial families.
Mr. Maresch started his career as an investment banker at Alantra Investment Bank in Frankfurt before joining Aurelius Private Equity. Mr. Maresch then worked as a consultant at the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) in Munich, focusing on restructuring and turnaround cases. During his time at BCG, he advised companies on a wide range of issues - from strategic realignment to insolvency avoidance. In his role, he was primarily responsible for the GSA region and gained extensive experience in the healthcare, industrial goods, consumer goods and telecommunications sectors.
Mr. Maresch then joined Green Peak Partners, a leading private equity boutique focused on renewable energy and ESG investments. As an investment manager, he pursued a buy & build strategy in the wind services sector. During his time at Green Peak Partners, he was responsible for five acquisitions of wind services companies across Europe, which were integrated into one company and sold with a very good performance.
Since 2019, Mr. Maresch has been Managing Director and Head of Direct Investments at FLOTTE Holding - the Piëch family office. In this role, he has built up the family's direct investment portfolio and successfully acquired three companies.
David Maresch holds a Bachelor of Science in Management and Economics from the University of Innsbruck, with stays abroad in Taiwan and Maastricht as well as a Master in International Management and Finance from IE Business School and London Business School.
