Profile
James joined Duke Street in 2015. He is a member of the investment committee and is responsible for fundraising, running the co-investment programme and investor relations. He began his career with Phillip Capital before founding Cornhill Asset Management in 2004 and Cornhill International Payments in 2007. James exited Cornhill via a sale to private equity and joined Octopus Investments in 2012, where he was responsible for building the institutional funds business line from scratch, running product development and fundraising.
James has a degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Exeter, is a CFA charterholder and a guest lecturer at London Business School. He has also served as a senior adviser to the Charities Aid Foundation, advising multiple charities, trusts and endowments on investments.
