John serves as the Deputy Chief Investment Officer, Portfolio Manager of Credit Strategies, and is a Partner at Corbin Capital Partners, an employee-owned, majority women-owned, New York-based independent alternative asset management firm that specializes in alternative credit and multi-strategy investing. Corbin has experience constructing, managing and monitoring differentiated commingled and bespoke portfolios for investors globally. As of April 1, 2025, Corbin has $9.4 billion in assets under management.

John led the creation and development of the firm’s credit platform, starting with its inception in 2008 during the GFC. He works on all aspects of the investment process across liquid and private credit strategies, including direct investments, co-investments, and private credit fund secondaries. John has actively invested capital in traded corporate, event-driven, structured credit, asset-backed and private credit strategies. During his time at Corbin, John has deployed >$3.5 billion across more than 250 private credit single asset deals and has closed more than 100 secondary transactions with a total face value of $620 million. John is a member of Corbin’s Multi-Strategy Investment Committee, the Credit Investment Committee, and the Valuation Committee. As part of his investment responsibilities, he may from time to time serve as a member or observer on private company boards.
