Lorna joined Connection Capital in 2019 to develop and expand the firm’s growing Funds business. Since then, she has broadened the range of managers and strategies offered to clients, with a strong focus on diversification and enhancing risk-adjusted returns. Her approach centres on partnering with specialist, top-performing managers whose interests align with those of Connection Capital’s clients.

Lorna brings deep industry experience from a varied career in financial services. After graduating from Glasgow University, she began in investment banking at Salomon Brothers as a graduate trainee in security arbitrage. She later held roles at Bankers Trust and Deutsche Bank, specialising in structured credit and securitisations, before becoming head of the London credit team at Raiffeisen. She then transitioned to asset management, joining global investment manager Invesco, where she worked with private banks and strategic partners on alternative strategies, bespoke fund solutions, and fund-linked structured products.
