Peter Kirsch founded Blue Marlin Partners in 2016, establishing a unique direct investment platform for family offices and high net worth individuals representing a variety of industry sectors. Currently the firm has 30+ General Partners across the US with more than $650 million invested, along with its strategic partners, in over 27 platform investments and executed several successful investments to exit.
Prior to Blue Marlin, Peter served for 10 years as Family Office Chief of Staff for the founder of AOL, Jim Kimsey, running his financial management, direct investments, international relations strategies along with local and international philanthropy. It was the direct investment strategies Peter put in place during this time that drove the creation of Blue Marlin’s Thesis.
During Peter’s career, he has served as CEO, Executive Director, and other executive level roles in a variety of industry sectors from Information Technology, Landscape Architecture & Services, Public Relations, and Marketing. Peter also served as a senior advisor to the International Commission for Missing Person’s on their mission to identify the missing using state of the art DNA technology. Peter holds a B.A. from Marquette University and resides in Kensington, MD.
