Sebastiaan is a senior private markets professional with over 25 years experience in leading global private markets and investment banking institutions. Prior to joining Aksia, Sebastiaan held senior positions with Astorg, where he was Partner, Co-Head of GP Equity Solutions, Arch Capital, where he was CIO, Alternatives, and HarbourVest Partners (Asia) where he was Managing Director and Head of HarbourVest’s Hong Kong office. Sebastiaan has served on the advisory boards of several international private equity partnerships.

Before HarbourVest, Sebastiaan held positions with AlpInvest Partners N.V. in Amsterdam, Goldman Sachs (Asia) in Hong Kong, and Goldman Sachs International in London.

Sebastiaan holds a Master of Science degree in Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).
