Chaim is a managing director in the External Investing Group (XIG) within Goldman Sachs Asset Management, serving as global head of portfolio strategy and risk management for XIG private markets. XIG invests in leading private equity, hedge fund, real estate, ESG, credit and public market managers, investing as a limited partner, secondary-market investor, seed-capital provider, co-investor or management company partner. He is also chief operating officer of Vintage Strategies, one of the world's largest secondary fund managers. Chaim joined Goldman Sachs in 2010 as a vice president in Multi-Asset Solutions and was named managing director in 2023.
Prior to joining the firm, Chaim worked as a consultant and engagement manager at Pyxis Solutions.
Chaim serves as a member of the Advisory Board for the Private Funds CFO network.
Chaim earned a BTL from Bais Yisroel College in Jerusalem and an MBA in Finance and Investments and an MS in Quantitative Methods and Modeling from the Zicklin School of Business at Baruch College.
