Jackie Dao, CPA joined Reach Capital as CFO in March 2021. Jackie manages all non-investment functions of the firm and its funds, spanning fundraising, treasury, portfolio valuations, investor relations, and annual tax/audit processes. She also oversees internal operations including the firm’s legal, compliance, IT and HR matters. Jackie’s breadth of experience across the asset management industry spans over two decades, working with family offices, hedge funds and other investment management firms. She has developed a wealth of knowledge in establishing operations and infrastructure for start-ups as well as streamlining accounting procedures and applying best practices for growing financial service firms.
Before joining Reach, Jackie was Vice President of BridgeviewCFO Solutions, a boutique white glove outsourced CFO accounting service firm customized to venture capital, private equity and hedge funds managers. Jackie previously held CFO/COO and Controller roles for family offices and hedge funds, including First Q Capital, Relational Investors, and CM Capital.
Jackie holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley. She is an active member of various CFO VC industry groups in the Bay Area. When not shuttling her daughter between school and activities, Jackie enjoys going to musicals and plays in San Francisco, running long-distance and practicing yoga.
