Mike is the founder of Walrus Security, whose flagship product, DoubleCheck, lets users easily and securely obtain payment instructions from counterparties. DoubleCheck addresses the exploding threats of fraud in payment processes. DoubleCheck is trusted by leading investment managers across private markets.

Mike is also a tenured professor of Computer Science at NYU in the Courant Institute. He is an international expert in verifiability and integrity of computation. He has published papers on many topics in computer security, applied cryptography, and systems. Mike's research implemented and popularized probabilistic proofs, catalyzing the recent explosion of interest in zero-knowledge proofs. He has received numerous honors for his academic research, including the Sloan Research Fellowship.
