Sudeep Poddar is Managing Director and Global Head of Valuations at General Atlantic, a leading global growth equity firm. In this role, he oversees the valuation of the firm’s entire private investment portfolio, working closely with investment professionals, finance teams, and auditors to ensure rigorous, consistent, and transparent valuation practices across all regions and asset classes.

With more than 15 years of experience in private equity and financial services, Sudeep brings deep technical expertise and a strategic mindset shaped by navigating multiple market cycles. He leads a high-performing team responsible for driving fair value assessments, implementing robust controls, and enhancing valuation governance across the firm.

Sudeep holds an MBA in Finance and a BTech in Computer Science, and is both a CFA Charterholder and a certified Financial Risk Manager (FRM). His multidisciplinary background underpins his interest in leveraging technology, data, and automation to modernize valuation processes and strengthen operational efficiency.
