Alison Klein is managing director of Akmazo (a 3x Impact partner), a strategic advisory firm supporting investors in emerging markets and impact private capital, and an independent investment committee and board member.

Alison has over 20 years of private capital experience in both developed and emerging markets. At the Dutch development finance institution FMO, she invested in generalist, renewable energy, and venture funds; financial institutions, agribusiness, forestry, and other co-investments in Africa and Latin America. Previously at AlpInvest Partners she covered cleantech, venture, growth capital and buyout funds in Western Europe and emerging markets; and earlier in her career she managed to catch the peak of the internet bubble in Silicon Valley at late-stage venture firm Focus Ventures.

Alison has an MBA from INSEAD and an AB from Harvard College.
