Ashish Patel has more than 30 years of experience in strategy, operations, and investments. He is a Managing Partner with Aavishkaar Capital based in Kenya. Prior to Aavishkaar, he served as the Managing Director for Sub-Sahara Africa at Abraaj Capital before which he was the Head of Strategy, Emerging Markets and Corporate Development at AVG Technologies where he also served as a Board Member. He was a founding member and the Managing Director at Intel Capital Europe responsible for all their activities in Europe, Middle East and Africa.

Ashish has been involved with the growth companies for over 25 years having invested and served on a variety of boards including; Libstar Holdings Ltd (LBR) listed on JSE, Java House in Kenya, Yandex NV (YNDX) in Russia and IP.Access Ltd in the UK.

Ashish qualified as a Chartered Accountant with PWC in London. He graduated in Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
