Brooks is the Founder and CEO of Roha Group, an investment firm that responsibly builds companies in Africa. Roha launches new companies by leading their development from origination to exit, focused on opportunities that address latent demand in local markets with world-class technology, business models, and partnerships. Brooks serves as a board member for many of Roha’s portfolio companies and is responsible for overall leadership of Roha. He is also currently the Executive Chairman of Roha Medical Campus, an integrated healthcare development in Addis Ababa. He previously served as CEO of Juniper Glass, Roha’s first large-scale industrial development.
Brooks is based in Nairobi and has lived and worked in multiple African cities for over fifteen years. Before starting Roha, he was a consultant with McKinsey & Company – first in Johannesburg, and then as a co-founder of the Lagos office. He graduated from Harvard College with a degree in Social Studies (focus on Economics and Politics).
