Chetan Gupta is a Member of the Board of Directors of Samena Capital and is the SEO of Samena Capital Investments Limited in Dubai. Mr. Gupta has been with the firm since 2008 and is responsible for organizational strategy and plays a leadership role across various functions including investment management, portfolio construction and stakeholder relations.

With over 20 years of investing experience, Mr. Gupta is deeply involved in value creation across portfolio companies and currently a member of the Board of Directors on U-Gro Capital Limited (India), Bloom Hotels (India), RAK Logistics (Singapore) and Softlogic Holdings Limited (Sri Lanka). Mr. Gupta is also a member of the Investment Committee of the Special Situations Funds and all its subsidiaries.

Mr. Gupta started his career in finance as a part of the General Electric Financial Management Leadership Program and then as a research analyst in an India focused hedge fund before joining Samena Capital during its inception.

Mr. Gupta is a Chartered Financial Analyst (AIMR), Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst and holds a Masters in Management (Finance) from the University of Mumbai.
