Chetan Mehta is the Founding Partner of AUM Ventures. AUM Ventures is an early stage VC fund which invests in Indian founders globally and provide opportunity to global investors to access the thriving Indian startup ecosystem. Chetan partners with entrepreneurs in building successful, sustainable and scalable global businesses. At AUM Ventures, Chetan invests in preseed / seed rounds and is an early investor in Skyroot Aerospace, Azimuth AI, Newme, Sully.ai, Validus Fintech, Swirepay and others.

In his earlier role, Chetan was CEO of a large Dubai-based Single Family Office. At the SFO, Chetan build an alternate investment portfolio of venture/startups. He created a global deal sourcing network, fund of fund program and led investments in 60+ startups across India (Smiles.ai, LenDenClub, ChargeZone, Waterfield advisors, Sharechat, Sourcewiz, Rapidbox, Cogos, etc), Israel (eToro, Immunai, Antidote, H2Pro, Arbe robotics, Binah.ai, Goarc, etc), GCC (Verofax, Fenix, Altibbi) and the US (Rho banking, Shef, Capsule, Daily Harvest, SpaceX, etc).

He has investment experience across multiple sectors, including Fintech, Healthtech, Foodtech, Mobility, ECommerce, Media, Gaming, Spacetech, etc. Chetan is also an angel investor himself with investments in 40+ startups and regularly advises / mentors aspiring entrepreneurs on financial efficiencies, GTM strategy, fundraising, etc.

Besides building an alternate investment portfolio, Chetan was instrumental in institutionalizing the SFO by developing its governance framework, investment policy and strategic asset allocation framework.

Chetan also has two decades of advisory and consulting experience, of which 11 years were with EY. He has advised MNCs on restructuring of cross-border operations, M&As, IPO planning as well as providing strategic approach to complex issues. Chetan has earlier worked in Mumbai, London, and Dubai in various advisory roles.
