Christian Winkler is co-founder and Managing Partner at asc impact, an independent owner-led firm primarily managing sustainable investments in agriculture and forestry. Our investment approach is that the management team will actively manage all projects and aims to ensure sustainable value creation operationally.

Before joining asc, Christian worked for some 12 years in venture capital, Partner at btov Partners, and in banking at Credit Suisse.

Christian holds double master’s degree in business and economics from the Universities of Maastricht, Rotterdam, and CEMS.

In 2022 the asc impact forestry fund celebrated a successful first closing with a subscription volume of € 26.1 million. The fund invests under strict ESG criteria in a diversified portfolio of up to 20 sustainable forestry projects in Sub-Saharan Africa. All projects are actively managed by the asc impact management team, combining decades of agriculture and forestry experience with dedicated expertise in venture capital, start-up, and legal.
