Erman Kalkandelen is CEO – Turkey at Franklin Templeton, leading the firm’s Turkey private equity platform across fundraising, investment execution, and hands-on value creation. He helped raise the successor vehicle, Templeton Turkey Fund II, and the team completed a first close in February, with a path toward final close. He also led the 2020 transfer of management rights of the former Abraaj Turkey fund (rebranded as Templeton Turkey Fund). Over a seven-year mandate, the team partnered with Gözde (Turkey’s largest listed private equity platform). He has represented the firm at portfolio companies including Şok Marketler, Hepsiburada, Netlog, DeFacto, Penta, and Gözde. He holds an MBA from Sabancı University.
