Helena Hou is Head of Capital Raising at Cyanhill Capital, an early-stage venture capital firm focused on the consumer sector. She leads fundraising and LP relations, helping global investors access high-growth opportunities at the intersection of culture, technology, and lifestyle in Asia. Helena’s transition into venture capital reflects her conviction in supporting innovation from the ground up—shifting from public market debt financing to private market equity investing in the next generation of consumer brands.

Prior to joining Cyanhill, Helena spent over a decade in front-office banking roles across Asia and North America. She worked at top-tier institutions including Standard Chartered Bank, Scotiabank, and Toronto-Dominion Bank. At Standard Chartered, she most recently served as Head of Global Subsidiaries, China North, where she advised multinational corporates on debt financing and market entry strategies in China.

Helena has a deep interest in the cultural and philosophical differences between East and West. Having lived in Los Angeles, Vancouver, Beijing, Toronto, and San Francisco, she enjoys connecting with people from all walks of life and understanding the values behind their decisions.

She remains actively engaged with her alma mater, Cornell University, where she served on the Johnson Advisory Council. Outside of her professional pursuits, Helena is a lifelong golf enthusiast, a CASI-certified snowboarding instructor, and a WSET-certified wine lover.
