Kohei Muto is the Founder and CEO of Double Feather Partners, an Africa-focused venture capital and innovation advisory firm. He is currently leading the launch of the DFP Africa Mobility Innovation Fund, an early-stage venture fund investing in sustainable mobility, logistics, EV infrastructure, asset finance, and inclusive technology solutions across Africa. The fund builds on DFP’s track record of investing in African startups and its platform connecting portfolio companies with Japanese corporates, global investors, and development partners.

Kohei began his career at Morgan Stanley in Tokyo before working with a UN-affiliated organization in Israel and Palestine on impact investments in cleantech and financial services. He later moved to Rwanda to manage a venture portfolio for a global technology company. He also advises corporates and public institutions on capital raising and innovation strategy, has led JICA’s NINJA acceleration program in Kenya, and is a member of the Africa Business Council in Japan.
