Nicholas Vickery is IFC’s Global Head of Private Equity Funds, based in Istanbul, Turkiye. Nicholas focuses on IFC’s investments in Private Equity and Venture Capital Funds with an annual investment program of around $600m in 20-25 funds, and chairs the Funds Investment Committee (IC), which screens all of IFC’s investment proposals in private equity funds. He was previously the Global Portfolio Manager of Private Equity Funds, with a portfolio responsibility for IFC’s investments in 270 funds for a total exposure of around US$4 billion, across all regions. His portfolio included growth equity, venture capital, climate change and SME funds. Prior to this, Nicholas was an investment officer in IFC’s Financial Institutions Group, and was based in Istanbul from 2010-2015. He also headed the IFC Mumbai office from 2003-2005, where he was responsible for business development in the financial sector in South Asia. He joined IFC in 1998 as part of the MBA Program. Nicholas holds a Masters from ESSEC Business School, France and a MBA from INSEAD.
