Payel Farasat is a capital markets executive and independent director specializing in blended finance and emerging markets. She brings over 20 years of experience structuring and overseeing institutional capital across public and private markets.

As Chief Growth Advisor to FINCA International, she works across its $1 billion global financial services platform and FINCA Ventures’ Africa-focused investment strategy backing entrepreneurs in climate adaptation, financial inclusion, health, and education.

Previously, Payel served as Chief Investment Officer and Investment Committee Chair of an $18 billion asset management platform, overseeing 600+ portfolios and institutional governance frameworks. She has raised approximately $380 million across public and private markets, including co-leading a NASDAQ-listed transaction.

She currently serves on the board of Chancen International, supporting governance and capital structuring across Sub-Saharan Africa.
