Serkan is Co-Founder and Managing Partner at Astra Capital and Taxim Capital, both private equity funds with a focus on growth buyouts in the mid-cap segment in Turkiye. He is on the Board of all of the portfolio companies (exited and currently managed) and a member of the Management Committee and Investment Committee. He has 30 years of professional experience. He started his career in 1995 at PwC. After his MBA, he joined Goldman Sachs in 1999 in New York. He moved to Abu Dhabi Investment Company (Invest AD) in 2008 to establish principal investment efforts in Turkiye and create their direct private equity platform for Turkiye and MENA. Later he led Invest AD's whole private equity platform spanning Turkiye, Gulf, Levant, and North Africa until mid-2014. Subsequently, he co-founded Taxim Capital. He also recently co-founded Astra Capital, successor fund to Taxim Capital where he will be continuing to execute the proven growth buyout investments strategy in Turkiye and the region, while managing/exiting the successful investments of Taxim Capital and winding it down.
