Serkan is Co-founder and Managing Partner at Taxim Capital and Astra Capital, both private equity funds with a focus on growth buyouts in the mid-cap segment in Turkey. He is on the Board of all of the portfolio companies and a member of the Management Committee and Investment Committee. He has 28 years of professional experience. He started his career in 1995 at PwC. After his MBA, he joined Goldman Sachs in 1999 in New York. He moved to Abu Dhabi Investment Company (Invest AD) in 2008 to establish their principal investment efforts in Turkey and create their direct private equity platform for Turkey and MENA. Later he led Invest AD's whole private equity platform spanning Turkey, Gulf, Levant, and North Africa until 2014. Subsequently, he co-founded Taxim Capital. He also recently founded Astra Capital, successor fund to Taxim Capital where he will be continuing to execute the growth buyout investments strategy in Turkey and the region, while managing/exiting the successful investments of Taxim Capital and winding it down.
