Born and raised in Homer Alaska, Commissioner Adam Crum has dedicated a large portion of his professional career in various public service executive roles. His experience in the public and private sector includes strategic management, organizational development, and executive consulting for large-scale projects within the Alaska oil and gas industry. Under Governor Dunleavy’s first term, Mr. Crum was appointed as the Commissioner for the Alaska Department of Health in 2018. Commissioner Crum successfully served Alaska in such capacity for four years, including leading the state through the Global COVID-19 pandemic, before transitioning to the Department of Revenue in 2022.
Since his appointment at Department of Revenue, Commissioner Crum has focused in developing a sustainable economic development model for Alaska. In his current role, he has put together a strong team that has improved the State’s credit rating and has utilized strategic public financing tools never used in the state’s history, such as bond tendering and forward delivery, resulting in millions of dollars of cost savings to Alaska. Commissioner Crum has developed robust relationships with investment firms across the globe to build and create new economic and investment opportunities within Alaska.
