Profile
Kevin Skillern is a seasoned venture capitalist with extensive experience in the energy technology sector. He is a Managing Partner at Energy Innovation Capital (EIC), a firm he co-founded. EIC manages four funds that focus on seed to growth-stage investments in energy transition, sustainability, and digital transformation technologies, partnering with six leading U.S. energy companies. Before founding EIC, Kevin led General Electric’s venture and growth capital investing program in technology companies within the energy industry from 2005 to 2013. During this time, he also managed a joint $300 million fund with ConocoPhillips and NRG Energy. He began his career as a strategy consultant with Booz Allen Hamilton, focused on the energy sector. Kevin holds an MBA from Stanford University and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering with Highest Honors from the University of Texas at Austin. He resides in the San Francisco area.
