Neil Auerbach is CEO & Chairman of Hudson Sustainable Group. Prior to founding Hudson, Neil was a Partner at Goldman Sachs & Co., where he founded the U.S. renewable energy investment business and led several of Goldman’s most successful investments. Over the course of his 20+ year involvement in the sector, Neil has led over 30 investments in 26 countries and has deployed in excess of $13 billion while backing numerous successful businesses in the sector. His investments include Sun Edison, First Solar, Horizon Wind, and Recurrent Energy, some of the most renowned companies in the sector. Neil is also a renowned designer of financial products and has played a leadership role in the design of many of the financing structures in common use in the US renewable energy sector today, including tax equity and various financing products for the residential solar finance space.
