Alicia Novak is Senior Vice President, Deputy Chief Compliance Officer at HarbourVest Partners, LLC, a global private equity investment manager, where she focuses on all aspects of the Firm’s regulatory and compliance functions. Alicia has over 18 years of experience in senior roles focused on regulatory and financial crimes compliance and complex litigation.
Prior to joining HarbourVest, Alicia was Vice President of Compliance and Risk at F-Prime Capital Partners, Fidelity Investments’ venture capital group, specializing in seed and early-stage investments in life sciences, healthcare and technology companies. Alicia has also held a number of leadership roles addressing regulatory risk and financial crimes compliance, and was Director of Global Sanctions and Anti-Corruption at Fidelity, and Head of Global Sanctions Advisory at Brown Brothers Harriman. She was previously a litigation attorney at Nutter, McClennen & Fish LLP in Boston.
Alicia received a J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, where she was a James Wilson Fellow in Public Governance and served on the Executive Board for the University of Pennsylvania’s Journal of Constitutional Law. She received her B.A., with honors, from Johns Hopkins University.
