Brian Chu is a Partner in Apollo’s Equity business and Head of Apollo Portfolio Performance Solutions (APPS), where he oversees efforts to support our deal teams and the management of its funds’ portfolio companies to drive more successful investment outcomes and build stronger companies.

Brian has over 20 years of experience in working with private equity backed portfolio companies. Prior to joining Apollo in 2025, Brian was a Partner at Centerbridge Partners, where he co-led the Portfolio Operations team. Previously, Brian was an Operating Partner at Bain Capital, a general manager at The Boston Beer Company (Sam Adams) and a worked with corporate and private equity clients at Bain & Company. Earlier in his career, he worked in health care in various finance and technology roles.

Brian received his MBA from MIT Sloan School of Management and his BS in Mechanical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
