Edward Talmor-Gera is the Founding Managing Partner and CEO of NewVest and is based in Tel Aviv. He is also the Co-Founder of Fund Placement Israel (FPI), a boutique private capital placement agent in Israel that has successfully raised over $5 billion of new relationship LP commitments for top private investment firms.
Edward leads private equity teaching at the Israel Finance Institute, including the training of investment committee members of institutional investors and an annual private equity course for capital markets executives. He also lectures at the Israel College of Management and is the Private Equity Industry Coach at London Business School. Edward is a frequent speaker on private markets to Israel’s leading institutional investors, and he has been asked by the Bank of Israel and the Ministry of Finance to opine on the asset class and the regulatory environment governing both domestic GPs and LPs.
Prior to founding FPI, Edward had several finance and investment banking roles with Arison Investments (one of Israel’s largest family offices), Goldman Sachs, and Rothschild. He started his professional career, following his military service, with Sotheby’s. Edward previously served as a NC Captain in the Special Forces Unit of the Israel Defence Force.
Edward holds an Executive MBA from the London Business School and a BS in Mathematics from Tel-Aviv University.
