Mr. Uzumeri is a Founding Partner of Searchlight Capital Partners, a private investment firm with ~$16 billion of AUM and offices in New York, Miami, London and Toronto. Searchlight was founded in 2010 and invests primarily in communications & media, business & industrial services, and financial services.

Prior to co-founding Searchlight, Mr. Uzumeri was the head of Private Equity for the Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan. At OTPP, Mr. Uzumeri helped lead the growth of the portfolio from $2 billion to $16 billion and developed the direct investing business at OTPP to transition to a more active portfolio. Mr. Uzumeri also personally led successful investments in communications, media, sports, insurance and industrials.
