Fabian is the Founder and Chief Investment Officer of NorthWall Capital, which he established in 2017. He chairs the firm’s Investment Committee and leads the strategic direction of the firm and its funds.
He has over two decades of investment experience across private credit, special situations, and distressed strategies. Since founding NorthWall, he has overseen its development into a private credit manager with expertise across multiple strategies, including European capital solutions, asset-backed credit, and legal assets. He is closely involved in all aspects of the investment process, from sourcing and structuring to execution and portfolio management. In addition to his investment responsibilities, Fabian supports the leadership of the Asset Management, Infrastructure (Operations, IT, and HR), and Investor Partnerships functions.
Prior to founding NorthWall, Fabian was a Partner, Portfolio Manager, and Investment Committee member at Warwick Capital Partners, a European special situations fund that spun out of Polygon Investment Partners. At Warwick, he focused on private and secondary credit, special situations, private equity, and hard asset investments. He also built and managed a team of junior investment professionals and trading specialists.
Fabian began his investing career at Polygon Investment Partners, managing a multi-asset portfolio spanning loans, bonds, credit derivatives, liquidation claims, and structured opportunities across Europe, the US, and Asia. He previously worked at D.B. Zwirn in London and Frankfurt, investing in private credit and special situations across Europe.
He began his career in investment banking at Bear Stearns in New York and Goldman Sachs in London, advising on M&A transactions in the Telecom, Media & Technology sectors.
Fabian holds a BA in Economics from Columbia University and is a CFA charterholder. He speaks German and English fluently and has a working proficiency in French and Arabic. |
