Gareth Davies MP is a senior leader at the intersection of finance, public policy, and global capital markets, with over 19 years’ experience spanning institutional asset management, capital markets, and economic governance. A current Member of Parliament, he most recently served as Exchequer Secretary to His Majesty’s Treasury, where he oversaw national growth strategy, energy infrastructure and taxation, and foreign direct investment. In that role, he led the UK’s engagement with sovereign wealth and pension funds, helped shape infrastructure strategy across transport, offshore wind, nuclear, grid capacity, data canters, and advanced major reforms including initiatives to unlock pension capital for venture and growth investment.
He is a Senior Fellow at Harvard’s Mossavar-Rahmani Center and author of a forthcoming book on Geofinance (published with the Brookings Institute). Previously, he was a senior executive at a $500bn global investment manager in London, Boston and New York.
