Hope L. Edwards Newsome, Esq., is the Senior Director of Industry Affairs at the Institutional Limited Partners Association (ILPA), where she leads strategic engagement across the private markets to advance policies and practices that promote transparency, alignment, and a strong LP community.

She brings extensive experience advising private fund sponsors, broker-dealers, and investment advisers on governance, compliance, and regulatory strategy, informed by prior roles as Secretary, General Counsel, and Chief Compliance Officer in the asset management industry.

Hope has served on several national and local boards, including the Heart of Florida United Way (Chair), the African American Chamber of Commerce of Central Florida (Chair), and the National Society of Compliance Professionals. She is a member of The Links, Incorporated, and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, and is committed to expanding opportunities for young professionals in financial services.
