John Sweeney is Chief Executive Officer of Brookfield Oaktree Wealth Solutions. He previously served as head of U.S. business development and sales for Brookfield Oaktree Wealth Solutions and was a managing director and head of the Americas intermediary business at Oaktree Capital, and from 2014–18 served as president of Oaktree Funds.

Prior to joining Oaktree in 2013, Mr. Sweeney was a managing director and head of product management and development for the alternative investments business at Morgan Stanley. Prior thereto, he was the head of product management in the U.S. for the alternative investments business of the Citi Private Bank. Before joining Citi, he spent over ten years at Morgan Stanley in a variety of roles, including alternative investments, risk management and institutional fixed-income sales.

Mr. Sweeney is a graduate of Fairfield University.
