Kate Simpson is a Managing Director in the Investment Research Group at GEM. In this role, she provides senior leadership and oversight of the firm’s venture capital investments. Prior to joining GEM in 2025, Kate spent 12 years as a Partner at TrueBridge Capital Partners. Kate also serves as a Trustee and Chair of the Finance Committee at St. Andrew’s School in Middleton, DE. She received a B.A. in History from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
