Nhora Otálora joined HarbourVest in 2012 and serves as the Head of Latin American business.

Under her leadership the Latin American operations have extended across the region, being the first international private equity firm to open an office in Colombia, allowing HarbourVest to be one of the firsts international private equity investments for the institutional investors in the region. Nhora serves on the Investment Committee of Caxdac, the pension fund of the Colombian Association of Civil Aviators.

In addition to her success in Colombia, Nhora has thrive in raising capital from investors in Chile, Perú, Panama and Mexico. She has been determined in getting a deep understanding of market challenges, regulation, and structures in the different countries. An example of this is Mexico, where she lead the issuance of HarbourVest CERPI.

Nhora received a degree in Financial Administration from Ibague University in 2005 and a Masters in Global Administration from Tulane and Icesi Universities in 2012.
