Profile
Pete Walther leads Marsh McLennan Agency Private Client Services (MMA PCS), an award-winning ultra-high-net-worth brokerage within Marsh that partners with the nation's largest financial institutions and their wealth advisors on climate risk, insurance, and asset protection strategy.
With over 30 years of experience in finance and risk management, Pete is at the forefront of addressing the resilience gap across personal estates and institutional real estate portfolios. He works to deliver innovative, climate-conscious insurance solutions that help ultra-high net worth individuals, family offices, private wealth managers, and portfolio allocators navigate escalating climate exposures and an increasingly complex insurability landscape. His focus on coalescing stakeholders across the value chain — from insurers, wealth advisors, and thought leaders to policymakers and engineers — is driving measurable action toward a more sustainable and affordable insurance marketplace.
In 2025, Pete launched the inaugural Risk and Resiliency Symposium in Los Angeles, convening family offices, public officials, insurers, and engineers to advance climate literacy and resilient rebuilding in the wake of the LA wildfires. Pete began his career in banking before joining Marsh in 1995, where he has led various businesses including a leading role in launching its Private Equity and M&A practice. Separately Pete also led a wealth advisory business overseas. He holds a bachelor's degree from Hofstra University.
