Mr. Plaut's expertise is in providing bespoke sourcing & distribution of special situations. Capital raising for hedge funds and small & mid size companies. Global access to Institutional Investors, Pension Funds, Sovereign Wealth Funds, Family Offices and Ultra High Net Worth Individuals.

Currently, Mr Plaut serves as a Managing Director at Amagis Capital, a Real Estate and Private Equity firm based in London and Malta. He is also a Partner at Schmitt Capital, a real multifamily real estate developer based in Hoboken, NJ.

Mr. Plaut’s previous experience includes senior level roles at JPMorgan, Salomon Brothers and Bank of America, where as Managing Director, he was head of European Credit Research. During his tenure as a research analyst he was consistently voted into the Institutional All American Research team and, in Europe, was recognized as a Euromoney Top Credit Analyst. Moreover, while at Salomon, Mr. Plaut served as Rating Advisor to the Republic of Korea and as a result, was invited to Term Membership to the Council on Foreign Relations. Both at JP Morgan and Salomon, Mr. Plaut was a specialist on Canadian economics and policy. He also held senior level sales and origination positions at Jefferies & Co., BTIG, Global Hunter and Wimmer Family Office based in London. He also was a portfolio manager and senior research analyst for Sanno Point Capital in New York and Hovde Capital based in Washington DC.

Mr. Plaut holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Information Systems from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Mr. Plaut has been frequently quoted in the international media including the Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, New York Times, The Globe and Mail and a guest on Bloomberg TV, CNBC and Fox News. An active philanthropist, Mr. Plaut is active in many charitable organizations.
