Sharon Ann M. "Samm" Miller is the Co-Head of Saluda Grade’s CRE Platform, Hillcrest, a Saluda Grade Company, and is responsible for portfolio management and capital formation. Prior to this role, she was the Co-Chief Executive Officer and Head of Portfolio Management at Hillcrest Finance LLC since 2015 where she oversaw the firm’s equity asset management, portfolio management, capital formation efforts, collaborated with her Co-CEO on investment strategy and vehicle development, and managed day-to-day operations and supported originations strategy.

With 37 years of experience in the real estate industry, Samm previously served as Managing Director at Rockwood Capital, where she led business development, product strategy, capital raising, and investor relations. Her career also includes senior leadership roles at top firms such as Trammell Crow Company, Hart Advisers, J.P. Morgan Investment Management, O’Connor Capital Partners, and TIAA-CREF. Over the course of her career, she has raised, managed, and overseen more than $4 billion in commercial real estate assets.

Samm holds a B.S. in Architecture from the University of Virginia and an M.S. in Real Estate Investment, Finance, and Development from NYU. She is an executive committee member of the Counselor of Real Estate® and serves on several boards and committees, including those of WX, Inc., Hive Wealth, the University of Virginia’s Center for Real Estate, and the Charter School Growth Fund.
