Sijia Cai is a partner in Davis Polk’s investment management group where she advises fund sponsors on the formation and operation of investment funds in a variety of strategies and asset classes, including private equity funds, hedge funds, real estate funds, “hybrid” funds and debt funds. She also advises fund managers on fund-related aspects of M&A transactions, including deal structuring and co-investment arrangements.

Sijia represents fund sponsors and investors in connection with a broad range of complex secondary transactions – including continuation vehicle transactions, portfolio sales, tender offers, structured secondaries, synthetic secondaries and fund restructurings across various sectors.

Sijia is recognized by Law360 as a “Rising Star” in fund formation and named as “Next Gen Leaders of Secondaries” in Secondaries Investor. Sijia received her J.D. from Harvard Law School. She received her B.A. from Yale University, summa cum laude.
