Stephen George is the Founding Managing Partner of InterAlpen Partners, a boutique private equity firm focused on discovering hidden gems in founder-led businesses. InterAlpen invests $20 – 100 million as a strategic capital partner – typically as the first institutional investor – helping companies scale, mature leadership, and accelerate profitability. The firm’s portfolio has generated over $650 billion in combined shareholder value, with exits to large-cap PE firms, strategics, and IPOs across the U.S. and Europe.

Prior to founding InterAlpen, Mr. George was the Founding CIO and Managing Partner of Capricorn Investment Group, the $10 billion global private equity platform for Jeff Skoll (co-founder of eBay). Highlighted investments include Tesla, SpaceX, Klarna, Epic Health, Twitter, Addepar, Vitamin Water, and Neura Robotics.

He has served on more than 20 U.S. and European boards, including a Nasdaq-listed technology company, and advises several institutional-sized family offices and foundations.

Earlier in his career, Mr. George held leadership roles at Goldman Sachs, Merrill Lynch, and Bankers Trust and was founder of Epylon, later acquired by Accenture.

A Cornell University graduate and CFA Charterholder, he lives in Omaha with his wife Annika and four children and remains active in charitable and wellness initiatives.
