The award categories are:

- Private credit manager of the year
- VC manager of the year
- Secondaries manager of the year
- Emerging manager of the year

The criteria
Buyout Manager of the year, Middle Market Manager of the year, Private credit Manager of the year, VC Manager of the year, Secondaries Manager of the year
These 5 categories recognise the investment activity, performance, success and track record of North America-based PE/PD/VC firms investing from 2023 to 2025, noting the success in fundraising, new deals and exits, as well as the overall evolution of the firm.
Emerging Manager of the year
This category recognises the achievements in fundraising, capital deployment and generation of risk-adjusted returns from new/emerging North American fund managers.

Feb 17: The shortlist will be announced
Mar 18: The winners will be announced on Tuesday March 18 at SuperReturn North America, with announcements made on the main stage throughout the day.

Shortlisted companies will be selected by Preqin, based on their database statistics.

The awards will be announced and awarded at key moments throughout the day of March 18 (see below):

Winners will be invited to the main stage to collect their award! Winners will also have a photo op, a short video interview and will be provided with a winners graphic to share on social media after the event.
