Florent Robineau is a seasoned investment professional with over 20 years of experience in fund management, credit strategy, and investment research across global financial markets. He currently serves as a Senior Advisor at Star Mountain Capital, a U.S. lower middle-market private credit specialist with over $4 billion in AUM. At Star Mountain, Florent leverages his extensive expertise in credit markets and investment strategy to provide guidance on strategic growth initiatives and investment opportunities.

Previously, Florent was Head of Industrials Credit Research and Senior Vice President for Fixed Income at GIC Private, Singapore’s sovereign wealth fund. During his nearly seven-year tenure at GIC, he focused on a dedicated Credit Opportunities strategy and successfully managed a cross-cultural team across London, Singapore, and New York. He built a strong track record investing in credits through bonds, loans, and private debt, as well as executing fund co-investments.

Earlier in his career, Florent served as Sector Portfolio Manager at Pioneer Investments (now Amundi) as part of a €60 billion Global Aggregate Fund. He also held key positions at Red Cliffs Capital Partners and Bank of America Merrill Lynch, where he specialized in high-yield investments and special situations. Florent began his career in finance at BNP Paribas.

Beyond his investment career, Florent serves as a non-executive director for Coast 4C, a company focused on marine preservation, where he supports sustainable initiatives through governance and strategic oversight.

Florent holds an Executive MBA from INSEAD and Tsinghua University and a certificate in Venture Capital Investing from The Wharton School. He also earned a Master’s in Finance from Paris-Panthéon-Assas University.
