Chip Davis is a Managing Director in the Private Equity Group at 50 South Capital. He primarily is responsible for sourcing, evaluating and executing secondary investment opportunities, and also is involved with buyout, credit and venture capital fund investments and co-investments. Prior to joining 50 South Capital, Chip was a consultant at the Boston Consulting Group ("BCG"), a global management consulting firm. At BCG, Chip advised large financial institutions on organic growth strategies, operational improvements and M&A opportunities. Chip particularly focused on new disruptive technologies and was a founding member of BCG's FinTech team. Prior to BCG, Chip was a Credit Portfolio Manager within Northern Trust’s Corporate Banking Group where he was responsible for the underwriting and financial analysis of a diversified $1.7B loan portfolio. Chip began his career with Northern Trust in the Rotational Development Program. Chip received his B.A. in Mathematics and Economics from DePauw University.
