Jemma Bruton heads up the Hambro Perks Access Fund, investing in secondary stakes in European private tech-enabled companies.

Hambro Perks was established in 2013 by Rupert Hambro and Dominic Perks and it is a leading venture capital fund based in London, backing high-growth companies in sectors where the firm has deep expertise and global networks. Hambro Perks set up the Access Fund recognising the significant investment opportunity in the secondary market as the European eco-system enters a more mature stage of growth. Some trends have accelerated in recent times: the quantum of capital has growth as well as becoming more institutional, Europe has produced more tech companies that have emerged as global leaders and entrepreneurship has benefited from more support from academic endeavours and corporate institutions. The development of a secondary market for stakes in private tech companies was the next logical step in the growth of the VC eco-system and Hambro Perks is passionate about being part of this development. Jemma Bruton, prior to Hambro Perks, was at Goldman Sachs for 16 years working on private capital transactions and is heading up the secondaries investment strategy at Hambro Perks. Jemma holds a BA in Economics from Cambridge and an MBA from INSEAD.
